NİHAL SEVİLMEN; The retired teacher, who adopted learning and production as the meaning of living throughout her life, carried her knowledge and experience of nearly fifty years and her product development efforts that she started in 2012 at her home, to her tiny shop she founded in 2016. Every morning in her tiny shop, which she had dreamed of for years, she starts the day with excitement, thanking her strength, courage and health. Her aim is to create added value for local agricultural products, to contribute to sustainable life by developing health-oriented products. She produces original prescription chocolate using only dark Belgian chocolates, products from family-owned gardens and agricultural products from local producers.
Nihal Sevilmen, the founder of the business, the designer of flavors and the business development strategist. She is known for her inquiring mind, investigative and creative personality her around. You can always see Nihal Sevilmen working on different flavors with enthusiasm in her workshop, which she calls 'My Laboratory'. Seeing the facial expressions of people who taste her chocolates for the first time is the most exciting moment of her. Nihal Sevilmen has also long-time pals. Children. Sometimes, she becomes ‘Chocolate Aunt’ or ‘Chocolate Granny’ and it is funny but sometimes becomes their ‘’Chocolate Sister’. She thinks that taking part in the memories of those long-time pals means the future, their interests and love, the emotional bond established with them means carrying this brand to the future. Sometimes she closes her eyes and dreams of her pals growing up and their visit to the store with their children, says ’that’s living’ to herself. Living in Nihal Sevilmen philosophy is to leave a trace when you pass away.
TUNCAY SEVİLMEN is the best storyteller of this work process and with his the supporting to wife, he is the main pillar of that business He does so many invisible works such as creative solutions, organization and production of chocolate boxes with great pleasure that sometimes you can see him while sweeping the street and sometimes running around here and there. Despite his serious appearance, he cheers people around him with his unexpected jokes. Although he was not at all positive about the idea of opening a shop at first, now, he will live in the shop almost 24/7! It He is a good example of how happy retired people are in production. Everyday, he thinks up new ideas, tries to develop machines and tools which make easier his wife’s job, continues to produce physically and mentally. Of course, he also makes sure to play bridge at every opportunity.
SEZIN SEVİLMEN is an invisible supporter of the business with her supports in the execution of technology, social media, e-commerce and all other operational processes. With her organizational skills, she supports her parents with practical solutions in a short time and carries out marketing activities of the business.
NİHAT AND SERPİL SEKEROGLU (Siblings)
They made their dreams come true... After they had retired, they moved from İstanbul to Dalyan. They grow pomegranates, they care our garden and pomegranate extract which is used in the fillings of our chocolates and prepare crops such as orange and lemonade marmalades. Nihat Sekeroglu is known for his inventiveness and resourcefulness. Nihat Şekeroğlu is known for his inventiveness and skills. While he is trying to develop a machine which for making fruit extracts and drying fruit with natural energy, at the same time he labours with the project of pomegranate granulation machine. Nihat, who also completed captain training, works as a boat captain in Dalyan during the summer season.
Serpil Sekeroglu, retired banker, takes care of the pomegranate orchard with her husband, and spends pleasant time with her new friends and swims almost all year. At the end of October, they harvest pomegranates, squeeze them, turn their juices into corps, and when the season is over, they come to Ankara and support the shop during the busy New Year's Eve.
